Wgat dies the time setting do?

First of all, the machine does not need to set the time. If the machine does not set the time, the machine will always run at a constant temperature. If a time is set, the machine will start timing when it reaches the set temperature. After the timing is over, the machine will stop heating (so it will not maintain a constant temperature).
