VEVOR Benchtop Thickness Planer, Dual Speed, 13" Wide Table, Equipped with Three Blades, 15-Amp 2000W Motor, Includes 12" Extended Input Table, Designed for Quiet Operation on Various Wood Types
The dual speed means that the feeding speed can be high or low, and high-speed planing and low-speed planing can be selected according to the hardness of the wood and the required surface finish of the wood.
The manual says I need to use a vacuum when using this. My shop vac doesn't fit. What shop vac fits? The hose mount is 1.7" ID and 2.0" OD. Do you have an adapter, or sell a hose for this? Or a vac?
No, you can purchase this from the following link: https://www.vevor.com/benchtop-planer-c_10104/vevor-planer-stand-100-lbs-45-kg-heavy-loads-three-gear-height-adjustable-thickness-planer-table-with-4-stable-casters-storage-space-for-most-planers-saws-bench-top-machines-power-tools-p_010161455015.
To change the speed, most 2 speed planers you are only supposed to change speed when it is turned on. However in the product manual it seems to state that you are supposed to change speed with the power off. Is this correct? Change speed when the motor is off? Or is this a type o or translation error?
The dual speed press planer must be turned off in order to adjust the rotation knob. When the machine is operating at 100%, it is not allowed to adjust the plastic knob, as shifting at high speed will cause the teeth to collapse.
