Generally speaking, the length of the air curtain should be the same as the width of the door, and it can slightly exceed the door frame width. For example, a 46-inch-wide door can use a 48-inch air curtain.

We have double French doors, 36” wide each for a total of 72” wide. 99.9% we only use one door, if I buy the 36” will that work effectively on bugs and heat or for the fan need to extend beyond the width of the door we use? I see in your photos the fan above the double doors is smaller than the door width?

Dear Customer, Thanks for your inquiry. The speed of the first gear is lower. And the air volume can be reduced a little by adjusting the angle of the air deflector at the air outlet.
