Hello, it is recommended to set the device to 158 degrees Fahrenheit and the time should be 8 hours.

The timer supports up to 48 HOURS, not 48 minutes. You can set it to 8 hours easily. Please press the TIME button repeatedly until it shows 8H (not 48M). If it only shows 48M, you may be in minute mode – keep pressing the TIME button to switch to HOUR mode.
