The niche comes waterproofed with a liquid. It can be tiled with regular thinset mortar..
It's not very difficult to install..
Cut out the opening on the wall. Place the niche in-between studs. Fasten to the overlapping ears to the studs.
Tape around the perimeter with backer board mesh. Paint a few coats of Liquid membrain on the tape..
