What software do I need to purchase in order to engrave serial numbers in aluminum?
Candle software supports .nc file format for executing G-code. Vector files can be imported into ArtCAM software, programmed with toolpaths, and saved as .nc files. The engraving can then be performed in Candle software. The engraving software is included on the USB drive; the toolpath programming software, ArtCAM, needs to be downloaded separately.

No, this product does not support Bluetooth. It connects to the computer via a USB cable.

i see the controller has a switch for laser cutter can the controller do it with the same software
We do not have a separate purchase link for laser engraving; you will need to find and purchase it yourself. The software for tool engraving and laser engraving are separate and operate independently. Tool engraving requires programming with G-code.

webpage says z-axis volume is 60mm, owner's manual says 80mm. Which is it?
The “Z 60mm” listed on the webpage refers to the height of the workpiece; the Z-axis travel is 80mm.
