Hello. I just purchased a 4SSM5/12-2 pump (S/N: 231224694160044) through someone else. According to the wiring diagram, it doesn't require an external capacitor, and the nameplate indicates that it's thermally protected. Is this really the case? If not, what characteristics should the thermal protection have?

The pump coil contains a thermal protector. When the motor overheats, the thermal protector will sense and disconnect the power to prevent the motor from burning out.

Will this fit into schedule 80 4" pvc?

Can I use a soft start on this pump? The inrush current is about 42A and overloading my solar inverter (EG4 6000XP).
