Not sure about your question. This tool flattens metals completely. If you want to flatten a spoon then yes. But if you ae going to make silver or gold metalwork I wouldn't contaminate the rollers with different metals. The first time you have to anneal the silver or gold after working it you will may have staining that can't be removed.

I think it will flatten sterling silverware as long as they are annealed often, but steel silverware will damage the rollers and gears. As for actually "bending" no it only flattens and thins softer metals.

Who is this, Uri Geller or something... bending spoons. haha It's not really a bender though; it's would flatten a spoon and thin it out and stretch it out wider but as far as bending, it does have a slight curving but if your looking to make bracelets or something like that I think there are better tools more specific to that. good luck
