What is the intended purpose of the thin metal rod?
The use of the fine metal rod: the steel wire inside the pipe is auxiliary to the hose to facilitate the insertion of the oil port. This pipe has a small diameter, and after being inserted into the oil port, it is easy to bend. The steel wire is matched with the hose for insertion, and after the hose is inserted, the steel wire can be removed.

There is one hose that a blue clip on it and a small 90* end that looks like it would fit on a brake bleeder ! I don’t see any videos or instructions for this hose. Can you tell me what it for?
It is hard to pump, can I lube the pump shaft or even the pump itself and if so, what is the best lubricant?
Can this extractor pump feature be reversed to pump fluid back into engine and transmission?
Can this pump be stored outside if winter temperatures reach
