What is the flexible liquid suction hose used for? The instructions don’t explain what it is for.

Yes, when the oil is full and exceeds the warning line, the built-in float will rise and pumping will stop.

What is a good way to clean it after?

How clean do you want? I pour some liquid dish soap diluted into siphon hose and then blow compressed air through the line. The container portion has to "carefully" be tilted to pour the old oil out. Otherwise oil will leak out of the vents in the manual pump handle creating a mess.

On the YS-087 tank lid there is a small spring loaded 1/4 diameter pin that protruding from the edge of the lid. Why is it there and how is it used?
