Has anyone used an external battery to operate this? Looking for non-gas generator options.

I used my solar powered Jackery Explorer 1500 Portable Power Station with this dyring our church function and I had no issues.

the video just shows him taking blade off and putting it back on??? How would that help make the ice like snow instead of the bigger chunks?

Sorry but I just used the snow cone machine as it was. The kids have enjoyed it. Didn't think of changing anything.
