My 30 watt solar charger always maintains 15.26 volts, which is above my car battery's specs. How do I set the charge mode? Or max voltage? ...I want to avoid over charging my car battery.
If you are measuring the no-load voltage, the built-in controller will automatically reduce the voltage to the appropriate charging level once a load is connected. We recommend using a multimeter to measure the voltage across the terminals when a load is applied. If it remains at 15V, the unit is unsuitable for use and must be replaced immediately.
