for under the sink, if you connect only the cold water line to the unit how does it deliver hot water quickly to the hot water spigot? Does that mean that the cold water will turn hot?

No, this needs to be installed at the cold water end, and then when it starts the water, the water is heated by the water heater. It can increase stress. If the water flow pressure is too low, the water heater will not start, so it can increase the pressure to make it start.

Is the specs of the 15PBG-6 recirculating pump , 9.57 max pressure correct? All systems are 50 PSI or more! Is that a misprint?
