This has a white plastic ring surrounding the base, where it would be seated in the countertop as a built in. Is that ring removable because the lip to hold it into the countertop is very tiny (only about an eighth of an inch) and even if I manage to get the countertop cut so precisely I don’t see how that would be enough to hold it up under any weight.
