Can I add a shutoff valve below the drain? Where would I connect it and what kind of adapter / other hardware would I need?

You can install a shut-off valve below the drain pipe. The shut-off valve must be installed downstream of the ice bucket's built-in drain pipe. Required adapters and accessories: shut-off valve, adapter (reducing fitting), sealing fittings.
