To raise the telescoping flagpole, attach your flag to the swivel clips while the pole is collapsed. Starting from the top section, pull the pole straight up until fully extended, then twist it clockwise to engage the twist-lock mechanism. Repeat this section-by-section process downward until the entire pole reaches your desired height (up to 20 feet). To lower it, simply twist counterclockwise to unlock each section and slide it down.
