Many people mistook CMH as CFM, I think this is 800 CMH=470CFM right? Chinese usually uses CMH. Only US tested CFM is trustable, hope Vevor will not misguide customer and can correct all its range hood spec.

Is it necessary to put carbon filter ? If I do not put carbon filter , the range hood can be operated ?

The filter is made when it is used as ventless, if vented outside, the filter is not needed
