Can the pump be used with saltwater?

The pump cannot be immersed in salt water, but it can pump salt water.

I read in your frequently asked questions that and dealing with classic acids and corrosives you suggested it could handle five to nine pH... But I plan on running in the pump will be around 13 pH and because of that would I be able to run the pump for an hour and then shut it off emptied out and clean it up without damaging the pump please let me know
