On page 13 of the owner's manual, it says CAUTION - Lathe must be serviced at all lubrication points and all reservoirs filled to operating level before the lathe is placed into service! Failure to comply may cause serious damage! I looked for reservoirs and I don't see any. Does this warning really apply to this tool?

Before leaving the factory, lubricant has already been applied to the parts that require lubrication. Since this is a new product, no additional lubrication is needed. If this response does not resolve your issue, please contact us again for assistance.

How is the drill chuck attached to the motor?

There is a brass connecting rod attached to the motor shaft, and then the drill chuck is hammered onto it.

What is the diameter of the tailstock opening and is the tailstock interchangeable (on your mini wood lathe)

The rear tailstock pin has a shaft diameter of 5.97mm. This tailstock is a custom part, and we are not sure if there is a replacement part available elsewhere.
