The description says this is a variable speed lathe (chuck RPM), but one of the Q/A says it not. Which is correct? Does this lathe have a variable rpm?

How do you drill with out a drill chuck?

You normally drill on a lathe using a tailstock drill chuck. Without it, you would need to clamp the drill bit directly in a collet or improvised holder. Most machinists instead buy a small MT/Jacobs tailstock chuck adapter. if this answer does not resolve the current issue, please contact us again for assistance.
