Will this work with a 20 foot round by 4 foot deep Bestway above ground pool?
The two adapters that are provided with the 12 inch sand filter, one screws into the pump and a hose is attached to it with a hose clamp and the other end of the pipe is attached to the control head with a hose clamp. None of the outlets on the control head are threaded. Is the second adapter just a slip joint connection into the control head
The second adapter connects to the hose, and then its other end connects to the pool.

Does a unit come with any hoses at all? and what is included when you purchase
It comes with a hose from the water pump to the valve body. The package content is a hose, 2 connectors, a clamp, a hose clamp, etc.
