Got it years ago and it is still standing at the front steps. Works great for me when I go up and down my two front steps.

the main tube is hollow, don't know if rebar will fit. You could get a solid steel bar to fit if the rebar is too big

I don’t know is mine is not around thing that you put in the ground. It’s bolted to a surface

I did this for someone else, but if I remember correctly, the diameter of the square post that went into the ground was between an inch and a half and 2 in. They have the same bottle with a flange on the bottom that you could connect the concrete or wood or whatever you want to connect it to and it is super high-quality just like the one that goes into the ground. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
