The pan has the water proofing already on it. I'm not sure what you mean by rest of the materials as everything else included is water proofing material thats needs to be used to waterproof your wet area.

When mixing the Mapei uncoupling thin set I learned that it needs to be somewhat thin not too thick... I also was able to meet a couple of of real tile guys that are tradesmen and they back this product with good marks... I used Mapei Ultraflex 1 thinset For the application of all tiles also...
