When mixing the Mapei uncoupling thin set I learned that it needs to be somewhat thin not too thick... I also was able to meet a couple of of real tile guys that are tradesmen and they back this product with good marks... I used Mapei Ultraflex 1 thinset For the application of all tiles also... For best results: Ensure the Redguard-sealed surface is fully cured (minimum 24 hours) and clean/dry. Use a compatible thin-set mortar or waterproofing adhesive to bond the HDPE fabric to the Redguard-coated cement board. Follow the installation instructions for proper overlapping and sealing of seams.
