Is the fire brick used in the foundry or is it a landing for the crucible?

You need to put the metal inside the crucible and put the refractory bricks under the crucible for casting.

I have this set up and it works great but i need to replace the plastic regular and gauge set up with something more substantial. Do you offer replacements? If not, what are the specs i would need? Thank you

The yellow clamp can be replaced with a full metal one, similar to the picture below. (The diameter of the air pipe is 13mm, refer to the diameter of the air pipe to purchase the corresponding model of clamp.) Does this furnace have to be turned down/off after 30 minutes like some furnaces?

There is no limit to 30 minutes, but you should try to do it within 1 and a half hours.

Can I melt steel and iron in here?

Answer This Question

It depends on the melting point of your steel. If the melting point is below 1400℃, it is probably OK. If it is above 1400℃, it will be more difficult.
