I ordered the railing for 4 to 5 steps I have 4 steps. but when I went to put it on my four steps, the distance of the posts is not far enough apart. The holes in the railing are 43” apart. Has anyone else had this problem? The railing itself is not adjustable. I guess I’m going to have to put the top post on the deck itself and not on the first step. Very frustrating.

Can you instal this on wood steps and are those screws included?

Yes, you can install on wood steps however they only give you concrete anchors so you'll need some lag bolts.
