I used it for my lotions and it’s not hard at all also when I used for my after shower oils unfortunately it leaks.

The pump handle does take a little bit of muscle but is not bad. We use this to fill bottles of lotion, shampoo etc and it made such a difference that we purchased a 2nd one.

No, it is not air tight. The top lays on it like a cooking pan and lid. Your product would dry out.
