the saw i ordered is rated at ac240 50hz 3500w. the book says not to use less voltage it can damage the motor. but it has a 120v plug on the motor.

The power cord that came with my saw is 2- prong, an extra cord also came with the saw, it is a 3-prong with the third being a ground, is the 3 prong meant only for higher 240 voltage?
