Can this be used for r290 , r600 & r600a recovery?

For 1 HP Refrigerant Recovery Machine, this recovery machine is only suitable for A1, A2L standard refrigerants such as R32, R1234YF, etc. R290 and R600 are extremely flammable A3 refrigerants, so they are not suitable.

do you have to buy the tank, or can i use another tank i have?

You do not need a new tank ,but you do need s refrigeration tank with a vapor and liquid sides
