VV-LBKMJ-450 Does the door need an electrified strike in order to open doors with a manual handle/door knob? Or is this model just for doors that are push/pull without the need for a strike?

The door can be opened when the power is off, and the door can be opened manually when the power is on.

Can this be installed hanging from a ceiling, or does it have to be installed on a flat wall right above the doorway? My entry is recessed and doors not have a flat wall directly above it, but it does have a flat ceiling that the current automatic closer is attached to.
