My chuck has 2 handles. The jaws appear to be closed and the handles are at 90 degrees to each other. To open the jaws do I pull the handle toward each other, and since I can't move them may I use a hammer and tap lightly?
To open the chuck's claws, the two columns need to be pushed in opposite directions. It is recommended to use a leather hammer instead of an iron hammer.
