It depends on how much snow! 2-3 inches, certainly. Maybe up to 8 inches of dry or powder snow. I used to place temporary 2x4s under the joists to reinforce the structure mid-winter, esp when I was away for part of winter. This carport is the strongest economical one I’ve seen. Very impressed actually.

So, when you buy it, the tubes will last a long time, but the joint between the tubes are really weak. If you secured with 1/4 galv 1 1/2 IN. Both, the wind caught it because it was ripped and shredded it. Arghhh I looked like when it was packed someone shoved the stakes in and it had several tears in the roof and was misstitched around the windows. We purchased one several months ago and it turned out nice. This one was just not well made.
