The floor is a floating flooring. It only has stick on one side of the tape. Sticky for the carpet and no stick for the floor. I did have the problem with the tapes pieces sticking to each other but with patience I got them apart. turned out great!
If you are referring to the squares used where the tile intersects, I did not have any problem peeling off the paper. Peel off one side, stick into place, then peel off remaing side and place tiles into place.
