make sure the releaf screw at the base of the jake next to the pump is screwed in. mine work just fine

Ypu have to turn this balve clockwise first, then pump and it will lift. Turn it counterclockwise to lower.

You have to turn the valve screw clockwise until it stops before you can lift something. The valve screw is located at the base of the unit in a recessed notch. To lower turn it counterclockwise.

The toe is 4 inches wide and the opening is about 4 3/16 wide
