Are you able to disable the push button function and use it as a regular door knob in any house so when you open and close the door, the back set moves with the door knob freely

However, you cannot physically "disable" the button function to turn it into a standard door knob, as the lock is designed with an auto-locking mechanism that automatically locks the door every time it closes.
