The manufacturer states it can be glued to the wall with a product like Loctite but I used it on a ceiling so I used both adhesive and a couple screws. Be aware if you use the large one like I did in my finished basement the hole in the ceiling drywall expanded over an upper floor joist. My drywall is half inch and the flange on the prod is 3/4 in. So I had to build a frame around the hole
Unlike it products this one sit have the “hole dimensions so I held it square to the ceiling where I wanted my hole and traced the interior of the box with a pencil then cut the drywall w a hole saw
