In my application as landscape underlayment, this product is covered with crushed granite, thus not exposed to direct UV rays. In one small area, a section of about a 6 inches by 4 feet was purposely left uncovered since June 2024. It does not appear to have suffered much from UV in the 8 months of Phoenix sun exposure. Not sure how a large piece would be effected. It is my understanding that intense heat causes it to shrink.

I can't imagine just putting the fabric down and not covering it with mulch or in my case tons of gravel. So, I don't think the durability of the fabric to UV rays is an issue. So, I don't know about the durability of the fabric to UV rays. Sorry.

Yes, this is very easy to cut and place around trees or plants. I used stakes to hold it down, because it was windy, then we put mulch on top. It’s done well and plants are growing.

It was very easy to work with and we had no problems using it around our watermelon and cantaloupe plants.

If you can burn the edges definitely recommend doing that. It's good stuff but I end up folding the end under when I roll it out. I don't really cut for plants but unless you fold or burn the sides it will ravel like crazy.

Better burn only, cutting leaves long pieces as the weave falls apart. Burning prevents it

I don’t know about Sealtech but I used it under 6 Ton of pea gravel. It is very heavy duty and could not see thru it. Hope this helps!
