Do these have any UV protection if used in an outside environment, like say around a pool in full sun? We have drainage tiles around our pool now, bought from Sam’s. They have faded some but more importantly when they get hot, they expand & “bubble” up (deform) causing a trip hazard. Looking to replace them.
This product is not suitable for outdoor use.

Can theses be used on top of a damp basement floor? If so, will they eventually become moldy? Thank you.
I've been using the interlocking tiles for a few years now and they are wonderful! I put them together in sections of 6 or 8 tiles so I can pick them up and clean underneath when it dry in the winter. I have had no molds or other issues with them. I have sprayed the floor down once with a garden hose since I've had them, just to keep it clean underneath.

Are they brittle?
They don't seem to be brittle at all. I have them on the floor of my unfinished basement and they are holding up well. They're even okay to walk on barefoot.

Is there a compatible edge type for these? what Brand works?
I could not find one when I did mine last year. I used an edge made for the raced..k, bought the one with the male attachment. Just had to cut off 2nd loop on each tile. Kind of a pain, but it worked.

Do these float? Could they be used to protect the bottom of an above ground pool?
For something to float, it must have a specific gravity less than water, which is 1. Polypropylene has a 0.90 to 0.91 specific gravity, and polyethylene has a 0.94 to 0.965. I believe they would start to rise without something to weigh them down.
