Don't have it in front of me, but it's probably closer to 1 1/2". It's very heavy duty and thick covering. Ours powers our 5th wheel and it looks good as new after 3 years of usage. I do wipe it down to clean it occasionally.

cord is closer to 1” in diameter. But he plugs are molded on so you will either need to remove and or replace the ends if you are going attempt to feed the cable through a wall for example. Footnote cable is very stiff.

I would say 1.5" not 100% but the pic makes it look thinner for sure. It's heavy duty, we've used it everyday no problems.
