How many balusters do I need for 40 lineal feet of railing?

What is the thickness of the balusters. 1/4 " or 1/8".

I only need the 29.5" ballusters on my stairway of my deck. And I only need 18 of them. Do you sell these in 25 packs, by chance? (I had purchased 104 of the 32.25" ballusters for the actual deck, then realized that the stairway was the smaller size). Your help would be greatly appreciated.
