My garage floor tiles expand and buckle upward in direct sun. Do these deck tiles expand in hot or direct sun?

When laying it, leave a small gap along the edges—that is, leave some space on each side—so that when it heats up and expands outward, it won’t be squeezed and won’t bulge, and it won’t stick to the edges.
