It is a lid with 520mm diameter.

I have used my machine continuously for more than an hour in the past. I have not experienced any kind of shutdown. If the machine doesn’t turn back on, possibly two reasons. The machine has a thermal protection built into it. If it becomes too hot, it will turn off to protect the motor itself. Secondly, the machine comes with an extra set of brushes that can be installed. They may be worn out. Maybe a call to customer support would be helpful. Good luck.

Honestly, I dont think it came with a warranty. The directions were a little jumbled to set it up. I have had now for 2 years, no issues. Takes a little practice to find the right heat. I clean it right away when finished. Hopefully it will last many more years. Sorry no help on if a warranty exists.
