Double - braided polyester and nylon are two seperate things. Which is it? Nylon stretches 10%+, poly around 2%.

Why are the breaking strengths of the 7/16 and 9/16th so close? 8400 and 8600 pounds. Generally, the 9/16 should be substantially higher.

I believe it does, unless its the entire bundle which would make it very heavy. I purchased it as a Halyard Line, and it works great for that.

I do not think it will float. Polypropylene floats
