Without going out to measure, on my 66lbs anvil, the face is roughly 9 inches by 5.

What sizes are the hardy holes ? Are they just a standard size ?

On the 66lbs model, the hardy hole is a 1/2 square, however, the unit I gor the hardy hole was drilled out round but never squared off. Wasn't an issue as I have a big 300lbs anvil with a one inch hardy hole. This unit was for my apprentice to start out on.

My hardy hole is not cut properly is there anything i can do besides hand file a sqaure

That's probably your best bet. If it's too misshapen, perhaps make the tool to fit the existing hole?

What size is the hardy?

Roughly 3/4 of a inch a odd size if you ask me, you’ll need to clean it up a bit hardy hole before using it with tools.
