Install new cable in the drum of your rodding machine,make sure to buy the correct size and length for your particular drain cleaning machine. It would be quite difficult to use ,like the old times as a hand rod

Use the handle to rotate it and push pull manually. You can also buy the machine and load this line into it.

The other end has to be cut to put in the motorized machine. I have a Ridge rotor but it can be installed in any rotor. 1/2inch snake or 3/4 inch snake. I bought a 75’ snake. I recommend for a stronger snake go with the 1/2”. It is much stronger. I highly recommend it. It did the job and saved a lot of money

It has a permanent cowl that has a hole for a machine screw to allow being attached to the drum. Somewhat of an arrowhead device ehich is I think welded to the cable. I don’t think it could be used to double up cables.
