How would you adhere to a metal roof, and would it last?

For adhering the EPDM roofing membrane to a metal roof, the recommended adhesive is an EPDM bonding adhesive (contact adhesive) specifically designed for EPDM rubber membranes — generic construction adhesives are not suitable.
