Doing some automotive painting (epoxy, primer, base, clear) in a two-car garage. I am wondering if this item is overkill, settle with 20-in box fan?

if your doing alot of painting with solvent based paints then you should use an explosion proof fan so as not to blow yourself up or get a flash fire

I would imagine a combination of the two would be fine, however be prepared for overspray onto both your fan and the “tubing “ of the MOPHORN.
