You can take the fence around entire perimeter but then, you would need to take a section of fence down to access pool.
A gate is easiest. I used vevor fence gate model and matched up well.

This system is used to being either spiked into dirt or drilled into concrete. I suppose you could pull it out of the concrete every time you wanted to open it, but the gate does make it easier easier.

You would have to buy the gate as there is no way to open or close just the fencing.
