Why is my Vevor underground wire detector, giving me a signal even if I pointed up at the sky once it starts giving me any signal? I’m getting too much of a signal and I’m finding it very difficult to know where a break is. I’m trying to find the break in my Invisible Fence.
The detector has a large range and can detect a distance of about 2.5 meters. As long as there is an information source within this range, an alarm will sound. If there are many interference sources in the detection environment, please use the digital mode.

Can this be used to locate cast iron pipe under concrete
The effect may not be good because there are many steel bars in the concrete itself, which are easy to interfere with each other.

Can this be used to trace direct bury 220v cables not in conduit. They are live but i can kill the power to them.
No, this cable locator cannot be used on 220V cables, even when de‑energized. It is designed only for non‑energized cables or low‑voltage cables ≤24V DC/AC (digital mode only). It does not support 110V/220V/230V high‑voltage cables, whether live or dead. Also, it is not for shielded cables or cables in metal conduit, but it works for direct‑bury non‑shielded cables only if ≤24V and de‑energized.
