Is the meat carriage on the 8.6” 200 watt SL-5239M12C slicer plastic or metal? It looks like plastic. I realize the attachment to hold product in place against the blade is plastic….but wat about the actual carriage that the product to be sliced sits on?
The push feeder and the trolley are made of plastic, while the trolley panel is made of metal.

Does this shave the meat like sandwich ham or is it limited to 1. What is the warranty on this as I can’t find the info anywhere
It can slice meat into pieces similar to sandwich‑style ham, but you need to slightly freeze the meat beforehand. Regarding the warranty, all our products come with a 12-month warranty.

Using a metal carriage allows the machine to handle the weight of frozen meats or heavy roasts without flexing, which ensures a consistent slice thickness. To maintain the metal carriage, it is recommended to wipe it down with warm soapy water after use, but avoid harsh abrasive cleaners that could scratch the aluminum surface. if this answer does not resolve the current issue, please contact us again for assistance.

The actual carriage (the sliding platform where the meat sits) is made of cast aluminum, not plastic. While it may have a smooth, coated finish that resembles plastic in photos, it is a metal component designed for durability and food safety. The food pusher (the spiked attachment used to grip the product) is indeed made of heavy-duty plastic, as you noted.
