Can the blade be set to be straight instead of on an angle for pushing snow directly in front?

When pushing, simply adjust the direction of the shovel head to the direction you want to push. Although the shovel head is tilted at an angle, its direction can be adjusted; simply tilt it in the direction you want to push.

Is the blade metal or plastic? If it's plastic is there a metal strip on the edge?
